1 Chiller Ton = (gpm x dT)/24
12,000 btu/hr = 1 chiller ton

Tower Sizing
3 gpm/Ton flow rate (based on 85 F supply, 95 F return, 78 F WB)
1 Tower Ton = (gpm x dT) / 30 
15,000 btu/hr = 1 tower ton 
Ft. head=psi x 2.31

Chiller Sizing for Molding
30 lb/hr HDPE = 1 Ton
35 lb/hr LDPE, PP, or Acrylic = 1 Ton
50 lb/hr PS, ABS, Acetal, PC = 1 Ton
75 lb/hr PVC = 1 Ton
40 lb/hr PET, Nylon, PPO, Urethane = 1 Ton

Chiller Sizing for Profile Extrusion
